Slightly past the hour after taking off, baby :lol: failed on me. Having any failures in the middle of nowhere is bad for the heart. Nothing changed after I did the emergency checks, and had to seriously consider landing in Beverly. Well, I definitely can't make it back to base, I was about 1 hour out after all. An instructor who was near the area managed to contact me and talked through it with me. Cancelled Beverly aimed for JDK when it showed signs of charging.
It still failed on me after troubleshooting 8 tries. I would have about 30 minutes if I ran only on battery. Struggled through trying to keep the alternator charging.
And I am obviously back safe and sound. I'm not saying that it's serious though, it still flies without electric. Though I never once went to God in prayer. Thank God it wasn't an engine or control surface failure. Heh.
